IMPORTANT: By booking and checking into Bougainvillea Homestay, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with all house rules, policies, and regulations outlined in this document. Non-compliance may result in immediate eviction without refund and/or legal action.
Noise & Conduct
- Complete silence must be maintained after 11:00 PM until 7:00 AM
- Abusive language, aggressive behavior, or inappropriate conduct is strictly prohibited
- Television, music, and conversations must be kept at considerate levels
- Do not disturb other guests with noise, music, or loud conversations
Substance & Safety
- No drugs, illegal substances, or narcotics allowed on premises
- No smoking or vaping inside rooms - designated areas only
- No food or beverages inside bedrooms (dining areas provided)
- No vomiting, excessive drinking, or intoxication in public areas
Age & Access Control
- Children below 10 years are not permitted
- Government officials must present proper identification and permission for inspection
- Elderly guests must be accompanied by a capable caretaker
- Visitors must register at reception and depart by 10:00 PM
Property & Liability
- Parking area - vehicles and contents at owner's risk
- We are not responsible for theft, loss, or damage to personal belongings
- Guests are financially responsible for any damages to property
- Room keys must be returned at checkout - ₹2000 charge for lost keys
Outdoor Areas
- No drinking, smoking, or vaping in garden areas
- No alcohol consumption near swimming pool
- Pool hours: 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM only
- No glassware in pool area - plastic containers only
General Conduct
- Respect other guests' privacy and peace
- No problem-making or confrontational behavior tolerated
- Maintain decorum in all common areas
- Follow staff instructions promptly and respectfully

Check-in/Check-out
- Check-in time: 2:00 PM | Check-out time: 11:00 AM
- Late check-out subject to 50% room charge (subject to availability)

- Fire exits must remain unobstructed at all times
- No candles, incense, or open flames in rooms
- Emergency evacuation procedures in room directory
- Suspicious activity must be reported immediately
- Safe deposit boxes available at reception
- No firearms or weapons permitted
- Security deposit: ₹5000 for event bookings
Property Damage
- Damage to property charged at replacement cost + 25%
- Stained linen/bedding: ₹3000 replacement charge
- Broken glass/mirrors: Actual cost + ₹1000 labor
- Smoke damage to room: ₹15000 deep cleaning fee
- Graffiti/vandalism: ₹25000 minimum charge
- Lost remote controls: ₹2000 each
- Damaged furniture: Actual cost + 30% administrative fee
Health & Hygiene
- Guests with contagious illnesses must inform management
- Pool hygiene: Shower before entering
- No spitting in any area of property
- Used sanitary products must be properly disposed
- Towels for pool use only - not for beach/mud
- Medical emergencies: Inform reception immediately
- First aid kit available at reception
Technology & Internet
- Wi-Fi: Fair usage policy applies
- No illegal downloads or torrenting
- Bandwidth intensive activities restricted
- Personal routers/hotspots not permitted
- IT support available 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
- Charging cables available at reception with deposit
- VPN usage must comply with Indian laws

Legal Policies & Liability Clauses
Comprehensive Legal Framework Governing Guest Stay
1. Liability Limitation
Bougainvillea Homestay shall not be liable for any loss, damage, theft, or injury to persons or property however caused. Guests use facilities at their own risk. Maximum liability limited to room charges paid.
2. Force Majeure
No liability for cancellation/delay due to natural disasters, political unrest, strikes, epidemics, government actions, or any circumstances beyond our control.
3. Right to Refuse Service
Management reserves right to refuse admission/evict any person without refund for violation of rules, intoxication, disorderly conduct, or any reason deemed appropriate.
4. Privacy Policy
Guest information collected per Indian government regulations. CCTV surveillance in public areas. Data retained for 5 years as per legal requirements.
5. Jurisdiction
All disputes subject to jurisdiction of courts in Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka. Indian laws apply.
6. Insurance
Guests advised to carry personal travel insurance. Property insurance does not cover guest belongings.
7. Photographic Rights
Management reserves right to use photographs/videos of public areas for promotional purposes. Guest privacy respected in private areas.
8. Contractual Agreement
Booking constitutes acceptance of all terms. Electronic acceptance valid as original.
9. Amendment Rights
Rules subject to change without prior notice. Current version always applicable.
10. Severability
If any clause deemed invalid, remaining clauses remain in full force.
